All we want from Christmas
Dear Santa,
We, the animals, have been good and patient...
Yes, sometimes we had a fight...
Sometimes we just didn't like each other...
Sometimes we were lazy...
And sometimes we ate the wrong food...
Anyway, we did our work, as always.
This year could you, please, remove earth's destiny from Humanity's hands and give it to us?
Your life depends on that too...

What is at risk
Look...
Please, wait a minute, just watch...
Hey, I'm talking to you, take a look...
I'm serious, don't go, I mean, you just look...
Do it for me, do it for you, and everybody else.
Look...
And now, don't you think we should do our best to not lose all of this?

Climate change stories: the polar bear last request
Hey, buddy, can we talk?
I know you don't know me, but I know you...
I'm also aware you're considering me as invisible, but I can strongly feel your presence on this planet...
So, since your scientists, not mine, are saying that slow arctic freeze raising will cause my extinction...
Since it's your fault, not mine, can we talk?
But face to face, for once.

Today against tomorrow
Today against tomorrow. That is the modern clash, the last one.
The contention between two narrators on the same scene, of changeable setting, that is the heavenly vault, rather than every corner at play on our mother earth.
Two opposing stories daily told to the human spectator, but also a reader, as a voter, and more than ever a consumer.
“Think about today,” repeats one incessantly, “dissipate without sparing the living fuel that has been given to you by the industrial divinity you have created by yourself.
“Fill your journey on the road with accelerated revenue, in the form of an inescapable escape from primordial innocence.
“Eliminate any dubious obstacle from the run, as the prize unfolds as you whiz without turning back. And if someone has the inappropriate intrusiveness to compare you to a dumbly sad lab rat, maybe he’s right, but at the end of the show didn’t have you any fun anyway? No? Well, not bad, because after the end of the trip you’ll never have chance to warn the others.”
At the same time, on the other side of the stage, the antithetical story goes on air.
“Remember tomorrow,” says tenaciously the voice, “remember that every reason is useful for te whole action, here and now, for the foundations in the future.
“Sowing is a foolish gesture if you lack the least act of faith in the fruit that will come.
“Nonetheless, a fearless story as a selfless choice cannot take place without the help of the only guardian angels that nature will ever offer you.
“You can call them pure air, clean water and fertile land, if you prefer, but still today they are the only miracle that has never needed evidences.”
Well, this is the current conflict.
The dance that drags the whole of humanity on the opposite sides of the world.
Two stories murmured or constantly shouted in our conscience.
But only one of them will let today become tomorrow…

Five gifts to protect
Once upon a time five gifts.Five priceless riches to take care of and protect.
As many living perfections, according to a study by the University of Queensland and the Wildlife Conservation Society, recently published by the journal Nature, located respectively in Australia, in the United States, in Brazil, in Russia and in Canada.
That is, the five custodians of the remaining wild regions of the world.
Nonetheless, we all know how often the keepers of a sublime sharing works, where time passes and memory vacillates.
They end up unhappily to take them for granted and neglect them too.
Arriving even to claim the merit of such a gift, instead of taking charge of the precious responsibility.
This is our worst betrayal.
Because there was a time when the earth made a deal with the creatures that it hosts and an inviolable commandment is written on it.
“Humanity,” said the planet, “you will be father and mother exactly like me. You will have to love and defend yours and my children with your life itself.”
Once upon a time there was a duty for everyone, no one should feel excluded.
Once upon a time the remaining gifts.
Let’s keep our promise and make sure that tomorrow they will be there again...

Seven remedies vs global warming
Here are some suggestions against global warming:1. Never buy something new until the old one is completely broken, including clothes. In this way you will reduce the demand for materials, their transport around the planet and the pollution, since they will end up in a landfill.
2. Get rid of the dishwasher: it wastse energy and water.
3. (If you can afford it) Create a garden – or contribute to it, it will help prevent flooding.
4. In case you live in a city, why do you need the car? Take public transport, go cycling or walking. Rent a car when you go on vacation.
5. Turn off all the lights before going to sleep.
6. Buy local products; knock down so many miles of traveling food.
7. Persuade your neighbors to do the same.

Speaking about Global Warming with dad
“Daddy”, I start to say, reading an article on the smartphone, “new petrol and diesel car sales in Europe must be phased out before 2030 if the auto sector is to play its part in holding global warming to the Paris agreement’s 1.5C goal…”
“What’s the Paris agreement, Liza?”
“The pact by European countries to limit the emissions increase to 1.5°C, since this would significantly reduce risks and the impacts of climate change…”
“What’s this climate change, honey?”
…
“Dad?! Climate change… I was reading about global warming, right?”
“Global warming? What’s that?”
…
“Okay, I quote from Wiki: Global warming is the observed century-scale rise in the average temperature of the Earth's climate system and its related effects.”
“And it’s bad, isn’t it?
“Are you kidding me, dad?”
“No, I’m not…”
…
“Listen, daddy, I’m also reading this from that article: A draft report by the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change makes clear that 2C of warming would expose around 10 million more people in coastal areas to floods, storm surges and crop damage than 1.5C would. Global sea levels would also rise by an extra 10cm, heatwaves would be longer, extreme weather events stronger, economic growth lower, while crop yields and water availability would substantially decline…”
“I see, but you said 1.5, right? The news says 2, not 1.5…”
“And so?”
“So, we can relax. We’ve got still 0.5C to enjoy…”
…
“Okay, stop the car, dad!”
“What?”
“Stop the car and give me the key.”
Because I think this might be the only solution to the problem...

India water crisis 2018: the crazy choice
Once upon a time in India.Once upon a time 600 million people living with an absurd choice in our so-called modern times.
I have a few water, indeed.
But, how could I use that?
Should I wash myself or my clothes?
Should I use it to clean food or my home?
Should I keep it for worst times to come?
Should I drink it and stop thinking about?
Living as the rest of the world, believing I had only that for good.
Now…
Once upon a time in India, yes it is.
Once upon a time a country that by 2030 will have access to half the water it needs.
But, more than everything.
Once upon a time the water...

Antarctic ice melting rate 2018
Once upon a time a world. Not this one, just to play a game.
Once upon a time a planet where ice in the Antarctic was melting at a record-breaking rate.
Imagine another earth, not ours, where the consequent sea rising might have disastrous costs for every creature’s life.
Let’s say it was not from a random fake news Facebook page, but on a report made by scientists in the US and UK.
Let’s also add another study warning that unless crucial act will be made in the following decade, the melting ice will provoke more than 25cm to an entire worldwide sea level increase of more than a metre by 2070.
Take this as a fiction story, if you prefer.
Anyway, once upon a time a tale like that.
Then, try to visualize billions of people who didn’t give a shit about that.
Can you?

Human good luck
I am the moon and I call it good luck, looking at you.Yes, it's me.
You know? The largest of stars, despite I am not one of them.
My perspective is blessed.
Don’t laugh at me, since I'm fragile.
But I'm not going to hide.
Because I call being here a good luck.
Tonight, the following one, but also the one before and the night after.
Right now.
While I’m just the moon.
Nothing more and nothing less.
From three quarters until disappearing, passing through a magical half.
But I’m still the other big light up on the sky, though by reflection.
What a joy, anyway.
Because I call enlightening you a very good luck.
They say there is always a great moon behind a great sun.
Fortunately, there are eclipses to prove the he is behind me.
I'm the one who has always been next to you.
From the first day to the last one.
From sunrise to sunset.
And even where you insist on moving to the hidden side of your heart, I will wait for you at the end of the ride, hoping you had fun.

Climate Change Stories in the family
Peter is an eleven years kid.An eleven years old kid is not so young as you think.
Well, he’s still a child, but less than an adult might figure.
"Dad," he asks sitting on the sofa with a magazine, reading an article about world drought, "we have to commit ourselves, we should waste less water..."
"Of course, you’re right," the man replies without looking at him, intending to live the usual Sunday’s ritual, the football match.
Peter would like more attention and insists: "Daddy, if we continue on this road, in two generations we’ll die of thirst."
"Really?" The man keeps his gaze glued to the screen. "A disaster, I agree. Fortunately, in two generations we’ll not be here anymore."
"You won’t…" The cat seems to say, following the scene resting on the ground, with a watchful eye on the primal scene.
"Dad, that's not the point. I could have children, someday. We’re talking about your grandchildren..."
"Give me those grandchildren, and then let's talk about it, but now let me see the... hell, no, but you're a crap! How could you do that?"
It’s hard to follow a decisive sport match and your son’s words.
At least, theoretically.
"Yes, Daddy, but the world isn’t just for us and our grandchildren," Peter insists, "there is all humanity, animals and plants. If the water will be over, the whole earth will die..."
"Who says it?" The father replies, without giving up the crucial match for a second. "Your teacher? I told you that teachers are not infallible."
"No teacher did it."
"Was it Mom? You know your mother is often emotional..."

Climate change stories about nature
A study made by the University of East Anglia, available from the journal Nature Climate Change, tells that if we aren’t going to do something as soon as possible to fight global warming, the shocking climate alterations, that earth is forcefully experiencing, will provoke by 2080 the fading of one third of animals, and more than half of plants. That’s only one of the many concerns about this topic, and there are numerous theories about the reasons, but the accountability of humanity is the focal one…

Climate change stories of women
Thank you, mother.
Thank you for what you did.
Thank you, really, for what you do.
But above all, thank you for what you wanted to do and some denied it.
Because that’s where I live.
They exiled me right in what’s missing, and in what’s still possible, I will have my revenge.
Listen to me, now.
Listen to the voice that knows better than any other what losing means.
Mine is an existence that shatters day after day.

Climate change stories of pollution killing
Jack is a small creature.
Small as a letter, although he often feels bigger than it is, where he screams his own arrogance with each drop of ink passing through himself.
Mario thinks to be modern.
Because he is so, until proven otherwise.
He lives today before tomorrow, as if tomorrow was nothing more than today you are writing… yesterday.

Climate change stories of water rising
Let's watch it together, the temporarily stolen picture.
Chintan looks back over the boundaries of the latter and is rightly concerned.
Mom of all and everything, Dhara, continues undaunted to deal with nourishing affections and hopes.
Her older daughter, Sati, is studying her mother, studying as a mother, studying how to face the fate.
The little one, Ahir, is also staring at the world beyond the deformed side of the mirror, as his older sister Padma too.
Nevertheless, different moods and light are woven into their gaze.
Chintan has got the fundamental task of adding the decisive dimension to the apparent inertia of the image, to remind us that that photo tells true life, despite the poor resolution of common empathy.

Climate change stories of deforestation
Once upon a time there was a split in half planet.
Well, the above half was smaller, much smaller.
Maybe because it was up in the stylish attic with a view of the luckiest horizon?
In fact, I should have said two different half, that is, not exactly half, you know?
So much for me and so much for you, equal to both, and so on, but in this case we should admit that the story itself is wrong. However, there would be no need to write the right one, you know?

Climate change stories about Jay Mathers Savage
Let's now take a leap in the past, reading in reverse the pages, coming back to the beginning of the story.
So, we are in 1967 and the herpetologist Jay Mathers Savage, a reptile and amphibian researcher, is located in central Costa Rica, precisely TilarĂ¡n's cordillera.
"Can you see that, too?" Savage says, whose name means he’s so far from being intimidated by the brutality of the most unspoiled nature.
"Boss," a comrade exclaims, "a nugget! We found the gold, we are rich, we found the gold..."
"But it’s moving," another guy rattles, "the nugget is alive!"
"And it jumps as well ..." emphasizes the former.
"You're almost right about everything, friends," observes Jay as he approaches the sparkling discovery with an equally enlightened look. "We really found gold, and it’s really moving. It jumps and dances, runs, and vibes of life. But, luckily, we won’t be rich for that..."

Global Warming Stories about animal extinctions
They still insist, however, because they say that climate is going crazy just because I take the car every day.
The answer is always the same, do we want to be honest?
Okay, I leave the car on dust and go on train.
What about the others?
What do you think others will do?
What good is it if the whole world continues to jump into traffic with at least two cars per family every day?
Why should I sacrifice myself when no one does it?
Because nobody does, this is the truth.
Anyway, they insist, they talk about animals and plants.
Which animals? I ask. Which plants?
Lions, tigers, elephants? Beetroot? Spinaches?
Really?
